Some directors and artists put their all while creating a masterpiece. And they are awarded by the most prestigious award, Oscar, for their creativity. The Academy Awards is popularly known as the Oscars. The first Academy Awards was held on 16 May 1929 at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel with 270 people. The post-award ceremony was held at the Mayfair Hotel. The guests needed to buy the dinner tickets of $5 (worth $74 in 2020 dollars).
