How to copy and edit a DSLR image in iPad Pro?

Clicking images has become a daily routine for us. The popularity of the smartphone makes it more frequent and random. Playing with captured snap and giving it different shapes and shades are like gaming now a day.

Sometimes we try to capture images more professionally and perfectly, so we go for the proper imaging device like a professional camera, a standalone camera, DSLR or Mirrorless camera instead of a phone camera. There are two standard methods through which you can hook up your camera with your iPad.
  1. USB-C: You can connect your camera with iPad through USB-C authentication. In this case, your camera should have the USB-C authentication, then and only then your iPad is going to identify it. USB-c enables cables and gadgets are bit expensive in comparison to an ordinary one.
  2. Direct connection: It is the other means through which you can connect your camera with iPad. In this case, your camera adapter directly connects with your A-type USB port of your iPad. Some cameras are using Micro Adapter; in this case, you need to purchase a new micro USB A-type port for your iPad to connect a camera with it.
How to import an image from DSLR camera?
After the connection establishment between your iPad and your camera, you need to transfer images that you have taken to iPad. Following steps help you to import data from camera to your iPad.
  • Connect your camera or SD card to your iPad pro. It will automatically prompt you on the import screen.
  • Click on the desired image or picture or you can click on the “Import All” option to transfer all captured image from a camera to iPad.
  • Click on the import button.
  • Click on “import selected” option, in case you want to import a specific image or some image from the camera.
  • How to edit the transferred image?
  • There are many applications which facilitate editing for an image. Install any one out of them on your iPad.
  • First of all import all pictures into Lightroom CC on iPad, so that you can adjust it a bit before starting its editing through an app. The initial adjustment includes profile correction and presenting it to an application. Now, you can send the images to the desired application with which you want to edit it. Go to the share menu of Lightroom and share it with the editing application.
  • Now you are all set to edit an image with the help of an app according to your choice and convenience.
