Steps for Creating the Supervised User Profile in Linux, macOS, and Windows
In case you wish to create the supervised user profile in Linux, macOS, and Windows, then you can follow the easy steps mentioned below to start the procedure:
  • Go to the Google Chrome internet browser.
  • Tap on the home page “menu” option, provided in the top right side of the screen and resembles like “three vertical dots” symbol.
  • After the pull-down menu started showing on the display, then choose the “settings” option.
  • The users can use Google Chrome settings by entering the link in the address bar which is also named as “Omnibox” and after that, click the “Enter” keyboard key.
  • The users need to type the website link http://www.chrome://settings on the address bar.
  • The Google Chrome settings option involvement will be shown in the new window. In case the users are already gone through the procedure of logging in, then the Google chrome notification start appearing on the upper side of the webpage displaying the account which is active now.
  • In case the users do not register with an account, then tap on the “Log In” button next to the “Google Chrome” option, it is given at the upper side of the webpage and goes through the sections which are asking them to enter their email ID and created password.
  • Go down, in case it is compulsory, till the users do not get the “People” column on their display.
  • Tap on the “Add person” option.
  • Google Chrome “Add person” option involvement will get activated now, covering the front browsing application menu.
  • Select the “Picture” option and after that type the “name” which will be registered with the supervised Chrome profile.
  • In case the users wish to go through the adding process of the symbol on their computer which will open the Google Chrome having the new user profile account, they have to uncheck the bookmark placed near the “Create a desktop” option for supervised user setting.
  • In case the users don’t wish to create computer shortcut, then they can delete the bookmark by tapping on it.
  • The users will get the other options underneath the computer shortcut settings; this option is already turned on as default and named as “Control and view the websites this person visits from (Active user’s email address).”
  • Tap on the empty section for placing the bookmark in it and choosing the newly made account as the supervised user profile.
  • Tap on the “Add” option. Now the progress cycles start showing near to the end where the new account is generated. It will take only a few minutes to finish this procedure.
  • After that, the new page starts appearing on the screen, verifying that the supervised Chrome profile is completed the procedure for creating a new account and showing the next guidelines.
  • The users will also get a mail including important information about the newly made supervised chrome profile and provide the instructions for managing the supervised Chrome profile consequently.
  • The users need to tap on the “Ok” button for going back to the front page of Google Chrome.
