How to Embed a YouTube Video in Google Docs?

Google Apps offers you several free services like Google Sheets, Google Drive, Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar, etc. Also, you can embed a YouTube clip into the Google Doc. So, in this article, we will tell you how to embed a YouTube video in Google Doc, here are the instructions:


Embed a YouTube Video in Google Slide
  1. Firstly, launch the Google Slides on your system.
  2. After that, select the New Presentation option.
  3. Then choose a Video option within the drop-down menu of Insert.
  4. Go to YouTube and browse the video within the Search section or select the ‘By URL’ section to paste the link to the video of YouTube straightly.
  5. You should pick the ‘Select’ to upload the video to the slide.
  6. Thereafter, press the ‘Ctrl + C’ keys altogether over the keyboard to copy the video.
Embed the YouTube in Google Docs
  1. You should select the ‘Insert’ option into the toolbar.
  2. After that, select the ‘Drawing’ option.
  3. Then go to the ‘New’ option.
  4. Finally, you should paste the video image then select the ‘Save and Close’ to put the image in the Google Doc.
Pick the Video Image and choose Link within the Drop-down menu of Insert in the Google Docs:
  1. You should type the link to the video of YouTube and select the Apply button.
  2. After that, you will see no more playback button, so if you would like to get the button of playback, then reach the video image and twice click on it in Google Docs, appearing the playback image and video in Draw.
  3. Now, select the Play button to play the video.
Embed a Non-YouTube Video on Google Docs
  1. Firstly, store the video on the local PC and add it to Google Drive.
  2. Then pick the URL for the video via Google Drive.
  3. You can capture the screenshot of the video.
  4. Launch the doc and select wherever you would like to video to show.
  5. Thereafter, select the Insert option and then choose Image and put the screenshot inside the doc.
  6. Move or resize the screenshot until it properly fits.
  7. Later, select the Insert option and choose Link.
  8. Now, add the link and select the Apply button.
Add Pictures to Google Docs
  1. Select the picture you want to add and reach the Google Doc.
  2. Thereafter, choose the ‘Insert’ option.
  3. You should select the ‘image’ option.
  4. Then pick the way you want to upload.
  5. Now, select the image twice, click on it you have selected.
