All About Samsung Galaxy S21’s Early Unveiling
A new Samsung Galaxy S21 leak has stated the early release of the handset’s lineup. According to the information stated there, the Samsung Galaxy S21 lineup might get released in the mid of the coming January 2021. The S-series devices of Samsung have always been released in the month of February over the years, but this time, the scenario would be slightly different. The leaked information is from the novel source, as it has been stated by Jon Prosser (@jon_prosser) on Twitter. Jon is widely known for its precise Apple predictions. However, he has recently stated that the Samsung Galaxy S21 will be announced on January 14 alongside the S21 Ultra and S21 Plus. He also states the expected release date of the S21 lineup to be January 29.
On November 4, Jon Prosser, on his account, tweeted that all the devices in the S21 lineup will get announced and will be available for pre-order from January 14, 2021, onwards. However, they will officially release on January 29. 2021 and will be available for purchase in different color variants – Violet, Grey, White, Silver, Pink, and Black.
Jon Prosser’s tweet states six color variants for the Samsung Galaxy S21 lineup. However, do keep in mind that the color variants mentioned above might not be available in all the three devices of the S21 lineup – the standard S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra. We say this because the higher-end models like the S21 Ultra might be available in more professional and modest colors variants like grey, white, silver, and black.
S-series Devices Will Debut in January for the First Time
Yes, this is the first time when Samsung Galaxy S20 series devices may get announced in January, one month before, compared to the previous announcements. Previously the S-series devices used to get announced between February last and the first week of March, but this time the case is a bit different. The S-series devices earlier used to release on dates ranging from March to June. But now their launch date is coinciding with the annual mobile event, Mobile World Congress, that happens in Barcelona.
The MWC 2020 previously got canceled due to the pandemic outbreak, which made the device manufacturers come to a conclusion to announce and launch their devices on digital platforms. So, the chances are very less that the devices would be released during the MWC 2021.
With the introduction of digital launches, Samsung hardly has any reason to put the Galaxy S21 lineup on hold until February. Previously, Samsung, during its CES 2020 event, revealed its mid-range handsets – Galaxy Note 10 Lite and S10 Lite. So, chances are there that the same window might be used by Samsung to announce its lineup of new S21 handsets.
Early Verdict
So, this was all about the upcoming S21 lineup of Samsung, which might get released on January 29 after its announcement on January 14. The devices in the S21 lineup will be available for pre-orders from the day they get announced.
